SignalCloud Privacy Policy

SignalCloud and the SignalCloud Mobile App are operated by TII Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 46 647 509 582) (“we”, “us”, “our”) for use with SIGNAL irrigation control systems.

This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in connection with SignalCloud. It should be read alongside the SignalCloud Terms and Conditions.

Information we collect

We collect information needed to provide and support SignalCloud. Depending on your use of the service, this may include:

  • Your email address, account credentials and any name, organisation or contact details you provide.
  • Information associated with your account, sites and controllers, including site locations, settings, irrigation records and service activity.
  • Subscription and billing information, where applicable.
  • Information you provide when contacting us for support or making an enquiry.

We collect information directly from you, from people authorised to manage your account or sites, and through your use of SignalCloud and connected controllers. Site and controller information may be personal information where it relates to an identifiable individual.

How we use information

We use information to operate, maintain and improve SignalCloud, manage accounts and subscriptions, provide support, deliver alerts and notifications, and protect the security of the service.

As described in our Terms and Conditions, we may also produce and use aggregated or de-identified data and insights. Information that could reasonably identify an individual remains subject to this policy.

With your consent, we may send emails about SignalCloud features and SIGNAL products. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe option or by contacting us. We may still send essential account, security, billing and service notices.

Sharing information

We do not sell your personal information or provide it to third parties for their own marketing.

We may share information with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate and support SignalCloud, including providers of cloud hosting, telecommunications, email and push notifications, weather services and, where applicable, payment processing. We limit the information shared to what is reasonably needed for the relevant purpose.

We may also disclose information with your authorisation or where required by law. These arrangements remain subject to the data-location commitments below.

Storage and security

SignalCloud uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, Customer Data is stored and processed in Australia and will not be transferred outside Australia without your express consent, except as required by law.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Please use a unique password for SignalCloud, keep your account credentials confidential, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Retention and access

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet our contractual commitments and comply with legal requirements. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Account holders may request an export of their Customer Data during their use of SignalCloud and for 30 days after cancellation or suspension, as set out in our Terms and Conditions.

You may contact us to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

We will investigate privacy complaints and aim to respond within 30 days. If you are dissatisfied with our response, or have not received a response within that period, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time by publishing a revised version with an updated effective date. For material changes, we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email or within SignalCloud, consistent with our Terms and Conditions.
